One account for the web and the Vatar app

The developer describes Lagos Life on the web and the Vatar app (listed as "Vatar: Life in Your City" for iPhone and Android) as the same game with one account. Its privacy policy names lagoslife.app, naijalife.app and lagoslife.eliysites.com as official web addresses for the game. The game does not offer sign-in with social media accounts.

The privacy policy also says the game creates a device ID so that one account plays on one device at a time. If you open the game on a second phone or browser, expect to sign in there; a calculator or bookmark on this site has no effect on your game session.

Forgot your password

  1. On the game's login screen, tap Forgot password?.
  2. Answer your owner questions, the recovery questions you set for your account.
  3. Choose a new password and sign in.

If that does not work, tap Can't get in? and then Ask the team. You receive a ticket that you can check later from the same screen. Keep your owner-question answers somewhere private: they are effectively a second key to your account.

If someone else got into your account

After a wrong password, the login screen offers Think someone else changed it? followed by Tell the team. If you are still signed in, go to Settings, then Security, then Someone stole my account.

The developer states that its team will never ask for your password. Treat any player, message or website that asks for it, or for your owner-question answers, as an attempt to take the account. Do not enter your game password on this field guide or any site other than the official game.

Contacting official support

  • In the game: Phone, then Settings, then Contact support. Your @username is attached, and the reply arrives as a chat in the game.
  • Without signing in: the report form linked from the official help page covers bugs, payments, cheating and security problems, and gives you a reference number.
  • By email: support@lagoslife.app. The developer says the in-game message or report form is faster.

A useful report includes your @username, the device and browser or app, the time, what you expected and what happened. Leave out passwords, owner-question answers and full card numbers. This field guide is run separately and cannot open tickets for you.

Deleting your account

In the game or the Vatar app, sign in and go to Phone, then Settings, then Account, then Delete account. On the web, sign in to the game and then open the account deletion page, where the delete button appears.

According to that page, your Sim, money, homes, land, cars and businesses are removed, you are signed out everywhere, and messages other players already have from you stay with them labelled "Deleted player". You have 30 days to change your mind by signing in again. After that the account is deleted for good and your @username stays reserved for a further 90 days. Some records, such as payments, transfers between players and safety reports, are kept without your name where the law or other players need them.

Cannot sign in to delete? Reset your password first, or use the report form, choose "Account problem", give your @username and say you want the account deleted.
